SV	De kinderen van Ruben nu, den eerstgeborene van Israel; (want hij was de eerstgeborene; maar dewijl hij zijns vaders bed ontheiligd had, werd zijn eerstgeboorte gegeven aan de kinderen van Jozef, den zoon van Israel; doch niet [alzo], dat hij zich in het geslachtsregister naar de eerstgeboorte rekenen mocht;
WLC	וּבְנֵ֨י רְאוּבֵ֥ן בְּכֹֽור־יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ כִּ֣י ה֣וּא הַבְּכֹור֒ וּֽבְחַלְּלֹו֙ יְצוּעֵ֣י אָבִ֔יו נִתְּנָה֙ בְּכֹ֣רָתֹ֔ו לִבְנֵ֥י יֹוסֵ֖ף בֶּן־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֹ֥א לְהִתְיַחֵ֖שׂ לַבְּכֹרָֽה׃
Trans.	ûḇənê rə’ûḇēn bəḵwōr-yiśərā’ēl kî hû’ habəḵwōr ûḇəḥalləlwō yəṣû‘ê ’āḇîw nitənâ bəḵōrāṯwō liḇənê ywōsēf ben-yiśərā’ēl wəlō’ ləhiṯəy^aḥēś labəḵōrâ:

AC	א ובני ראובן בכור ישראל כי הוא הבכור--ובחללו יצועי אביו נתנה בכרתו לבני יוסף בן ישראל ולא להתיחש לבכרה
ASV	And the sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel (for he was the first-born; but, forasmuch as he defiled his father's couch, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright.
BE	And the sons of Reuben, the oldest son of Israel, (for he was the oldest son, but, because he made his father's bride-bed unclean, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel; but he is not to be given the place of the oldest.
Darby	And the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel (for he was the firstborn; but, inasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel; but the genealogy is not registered according to the birthright,
ELB05	Und die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, denn er war der Erstgeborene; weil er aber das Lager seines Vaters entweiht hatte, wurde sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, gegeben; aber er wird nicht nach der Erstgeburt verzeichnet.
LSG	Fils de Ruben, premier-né d'Israël. -Car il était le premier-né; mais, parce qu'il souilla la couche de son père, son droit d'aînesse fut donné aux fils de Joseph, fils d'Israël; toutefois Joseph ne dut pas être enregistré dans les généalogies comme premier-né.
Sch	Und die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels; denn er war der Erstgeborene, aber weil er das Lager seines Vaters entweihte, ward sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, gegeben, doch ohne daß dieser im Geschlechtsregister als Erstgeborener verzeichnet wurde.
